Wordpress for Beginners

This is a two-day course designed to give beginners the skills, tools, and knowledge to implement and maintain a WordPress site. Students learn how to install and configure WordPress, and to troubleshoot, in case of problems. The course is a combination of lectures and hands-on exercises that provide practical real-world experience.

Instructor: Shreyans Tamang

Prerequisites:
- Basic knowledge of Windows/Mac and Internet use.
- Bring your own laptop

- Introduction to web servers, domains, DNS, hosting and database
- Introduction to publishing platforms
- Using Wordpress as a publishing platform
- Creating a local server
- Installing wordpress on a local server
- Using wordpress to build your site
- Using plugins to enhance your site
- Moving your site from local host to server
