Who is our speaker this month?
Name: Chandan Sapkota
Designation: Economics Officer, Asian Development Bank

Chandan Sapkota is an Economics Officer at the Asian Development Bank's Nepal Resident Mission, Kathmandu. Chandan worked formerly as a researcher at SAWTEE, Kathmandu. He also worked as a national consultant at Ministry of Commerce & Supplies, Government of Nepal; FAO, UNDP, GIZ-CIM, among others. He was an Op-Ed Columnist at Republica from December 2008 to June 2012.

Chandan is a former Junior Fellow for Trade, Equity & Development program at Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, Washington, D.C. He graduated with a major in economics and a minor in mathematics from Dickinson College, Carlisle, PA in May 2009. He is interested in trade policy, economic growth, human development and social protection.

He regularly blogs on issues related to economic development, trade policy, public policy, and development in the developing countries.
