Candle Walk 1134

Candle walk is a peace rally organized by the community to welcome the new lunar year, which falls on the new moon's night of October. The candle walk ceremony also reflects the rich and precious Newar culture, which is inevitable part of Nepalese treasury of tradition, and culture.

We, Rotaract club of Lalitpur are proud to announce that this year's candle walk is being hosted by us for the eight time. With experience of hosting Nepal Era 1125 ,1126,1127, 1129, 1131, 1132 and 1133 we are more enthusiastic about making this year’s end and the beginning of New Year an eve to treasure. We have teamed up this year upon the request and collaboration with Nepal Bhassa Manka Khala, with a theme of "Youth for Culture; Preservation and Promotion." To accomplish the objective of this theme we’ll be felicitating senior citizens who had contributed to culture and heritage as well new emerging Talents from community youth groups.
