///More about the Karkhana Collective\\\
The Karkhana Collective is the house collective @Karkhana. We are a group of people interested in working in a non-hierarchical way towards a common purpose. We are current active with:

Narabazi: began as a a way to map political slogans and political art in Kathmandu but has morphed into a general purpose user content mapping tools. You can see what we are up to at https://github.com/sakarp/narabazi:

No Tension Sawari: a public transport focused project that looking into building a tool to convert Open Street Map public transport data into the GTFS standard. This project will find a institutional home at GalliGalli (www.galligalli.org), a not-for-profit tech start up co-founded by a member of the collective.

SanoPower: a hardware project is prototyping cheap pico/nanohydro tools that can be produced by off-the-shelf parts. We are looking at several options: i. an add on to existing ghattos (water powered mills) ii. a 1000 rupee device capable of producing exactly enough power needed for one light bulb (10 watts)

Brewing: we want to brew beer, traditional Nepali brews and also blend techniques from east and west. See our blog for our activities here. All our brewing is non-commercial and only for personal pleasure.
