Art In Time Of Crisis - Community Art Projects

We cordially invite you to an interaction program where 9 presenters will share their perspectives on art in post-disaster Nepal.

Each presentation will be limited to a maximum of 10 minutes followed by a Q&A with the presenter.

- Working with Children – Bindu, A Space For Artists, presented by Saurganga Darshandhari.
- Support & Skills Sharing Group for professionals working creatively to support children and communities displaced or affected by Nepal's devastating earthquakes – Art Refuge UK, presented by Jess Linton.
- Sanitation, Hygiene and Rebuilding Schools – Presented by Milan Rai.
- Art Therapy in Lukla – Australian Himalayan Foundation, co-presented by Laxman Karmacharya, Anil Shahi, Surendra Maharjan.
- Healing through Art – Artudio, presented by Kailash K. Shrestha.
- Rebuilding Bungamati - Kathmandu University, presented by Sujan Chitrakar.
- RECOLOR – ArtLab Life, presented by Romel Bhattarai.
- #12 Baisakh - ArTree, co-presented by Hit Man Gurung and Sheelasha Rajbhandari.

About the Organizer:

SAFEI is a partnership between the Siddhartha Arts Foundation and Centre for Culture and Development, Denmark. It hopes to build art capital to support the growth of Nepali contemporary art practices by training art managers, curators and art critics. SAFEI envisions a thriving Nepali art industry where a receptive public engages with a responsive artist community through a resource pool of art leaders.
