Aama ko Ghar, a shelter for elderly women, was established by Mrs. Dil Shova Shrestha in 1998 at her own home at Soaltee Mode, Rabi Bhawan. -It is one of Nuns’ Welfare Foundation Nepal’s projects. It offers a home to mothers who have been abandoned by their families. -Mrs. Shrestha takes care of them despite all odds (visually impaired, hearing disabilities, paralysis, and some of them suffer from Alzheimer’s) and is committed to give them a better quality of life. -Her objective is to offer them shelter and protection.

“It is amazing that how people could abandon their own mothers who gave them birth and provided with the auspicious opportunity to see and be the part of this wonderful world. Why some people is not aware about the fact that we will all grow old one day, and at that time in our life we need the love and support of our families the most.”

Therefore, lets all of us develop a feeling of empathy. Life becomes more meaningful and worthy, not by earning a lots of money, but by the blessing you gather through your good deeds.
